Baking has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — here’s me as a kid with my twin sister, cupcakes in hand. Growing up, my sisters and I spent Sundays finding creative things to bake together. What started as a childhood hobby eventually grew into The Little Bakery, a small, home-based microbakery.

As I got older, I knew I wanted to own a small business someday, but I never quite knew where to start or what I wanted to sell. I wanted to find something I was passionate about that felt achievable and had the potential to grow into something successful.

The spark for The Little Bakery started when my boyfriend and I began making tres leches cake together. We would bring it to friends and family, gathering feedback and improving it each time until it was just right. Baking is truly a labor of love, and seeing people genuinely enjoy something I loved making and worked hard on was incredibly fulfilling. One day, he said, “Once we perfect it, we should sell it.” That idea stuck and we began to experiment with different flavors for others to enjoy.

While I was disappointed I couldn’t sell the cake due to regulations, I knew I wanted to keep creating and sharing. I began exploring other baked goods and developed a love for making things from scratch. There’s just something special about homemade — it tastes better, feels better, and it’s made with real ingredients instead of shortcuts. Baking gave me the opportunity to combine something I loved with my longtime dream of owning a small business, and that’s when The Little Bakery began to take shape.

At The Little Bakery, everything is baked from scratch in small batches. I offer a growing and rotating selection of delicious creations, including cookies, muffins, cinnamon rolls, breads, and more. I’m proud to serve our community through my self-serve bakery shed, where customers can purchase freshly baked goods or pick up their online pre-orders.
